Postition Overview
As a Business Development Center (BDC) Representative at our car dealership, you will play a crucial role in connecting with potential customers, building relationships, and ultimately driving sales of our automotive products. This position involves making outbound calls to prospective clients, understanding their needs, and effectively presenting the features and benefits of our vehicles. Your goal is to generate interest, set appointments, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
Salary: $14.00/hr + Commission (Average range: $40,000 -$60,000 per year for full-time)
Job Responsibilities
- Outbound/ Inbound Calling
- Initiate outbound calls to potential customers from provided leads and databases.
- Answer calls sales/ customer order calls promptly and professionally.
- Introduce yourself and the dealership.
- Communicate with the potential customer while maintaining a conversational and engaging tone.
- Clearly communicate the value proposition of our vehicles and dealership services.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build rapport with customers by actively listening to their needs and concerns.
- Provide accurate information about available cars, financing options, and promotions.
- Address customer inquiries and objections in a professional and persuasive manner.
- Appointment Setting:
- Schedule appointments for interested customers to visit the dealership for test drives and consultations.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of customer information into the CRM system.
- Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on the features, specifications, and benefits of the vehicles in our inventory.
- Attend regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Sales Targets
- Work towards achieving monthly sales targets set by the dealership.
- Collaborate with the sales team to share insights and strategies for improving overall performance.
- Follow-up:
- Conduct follow-up calls to nurture leads and maintain contact with potential customers.
- Responding to potential customer and customer emails.
- Gather feedback on customer experiences and communicate it to the department sales and management team.
- Documentation:
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all customer interactions and transactions.
- Adhere to dealership policies and procedures regarding sales processes.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departmental sales representatives, managers, and support staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Ability to work well with others to achieve team based goals
- Other:
- Other duties as assigned (During time where workload is light you may be asked to temporarily support other departments.)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in outbound/inbound phone sales, preferable in the automotive industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence to positively direct those around you.
- Attention to detail, focused on positive result.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
- Time Management and self discipline to excel in manual based environment.
- Self sufficient problem solver
- Knowledge of automotive products and financing options is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
