About Us: Cassill Enterprises owns and manages several separate, independent businesses, each operating under their own brand and structure. The companies involved range from the automotive dealership, salvage yard, disposal, real estate, and others. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated VP of Accounting to join our team and contribute to our continued rapid growth and success.

Job Summary: Chief Financial Officer will provide technical and operational leadership across accounting functions. The individual will develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements)
  2. Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations
  3. Utilizing QuickBooks and internal dealership software to perform financial responsibilities across companies
  4. Managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and the close process
  5. Coordinating audits and tax filings
  6. Supervising the accounting team and ensuring proper internal controls are in place
  7. Works closely with the Audit, Legal, and Tax teams to ensure the company complies with financial reporting standards and regulations
  8. Collaborates with other departments for accurate reporting and to ensure timely financial closing


Qualifications:

  1. Strong expertise in accounting principles, tax regulations, financial reporting, and auditing
  2. Demonstrated experience in building and/or leading an Accounting function at scale is required
  3. Strong leadership skills, both direct and indirect
  4. Adjusts easily to change, learns quickly, and understands how internal and external factors impact decisions
  5. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
  6. Ability to work well cross functionally and influence across the enterprises
  7. Experience in growth stage companies preferred
  8. Must maintain strict confidentiality
  9. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  10. CPA preferred, but not required
  11. PBS system experience preferred, but not required.
  12. Automotive dealership experience preferred, but not required
  13. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Google Suite required
  14. Previous supervisory experience required
  15. 10+ years of accounting experience required
