Job Summary: The ideal candidates will have a passion for cars and be committed to providing exceptional cleaning, polishing, and detailing services. As an Automotive Detailer, you will play a key role in ensuring that vehicles are in pristine condition, both inside and out, before delivery to customers. This position requires strong attention to detail, a keen eye for cleanliness, and a commitment to quality work.
Key Responsibilities:

- Exterior Detailing: Clean, wash, wax, and polish the exterior of vehicles, including the body, windows, tires, and rims
- Interior Detailing: Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors, including seats, carpets, dashboards, and consoles
- Surface Restoration: Remove stains, odors, and imperfections from upholstery and other interior surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and tools
- Paint Care: Apply protective coatings and ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle's paintwork, including polishing and buffing to remove scratches or imperfections
- Engine Bay Cleaning: Clean engine compartments, using appropriate methods and chemicals to remove grease and grime while avoiding damage to sensitive parts
- Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicles for front-line sales and customer delivery, ensuring all work is completed to high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Marketing Preparation: Take and upload quality photographs of finished product for marketing
- Inspection: Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, detailing quality, and any potential issues that may require attention before delivery
- Organization and Inventory Management: Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in working condition
- Collaboration: Work closely with body shop technicians and other staff to ensure a seamless workflow and excellent customer satisfaction
- Work 4 10-hour days/week and additional hours, as needed
- Ability to report to work as scheduled and work full scheduled hours to meet job expectations
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for moving vehicles, as needed)
- Prior experience in automotive detailing or car washing is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive care products, tools, and detailing techniques
- Ability to operate detailing equipment such as buffers, pressure washers, and vacuums
- Ability to read instructions for cleaning equipment and use of chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple vehicles in a timely manner
- Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicate effectively with all team members and management
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk during scheduled shifts, regularly
- Use wrists, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, and grip objects, tools, and other components to operate equipment and perform work, regularly
- Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stretch, push, pull, crouch, crawl, and reach, regularly
- Talk effectively, hear/listen and understand, and smell, regularly
- Sit and balance, regularly
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision (distinguish colors), peripheral vision, depth perception, 3-dimensional vision (judge distances and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus
- Lifting up to 60-70 lbs., occasionally
- Work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot to cold, where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), as needed
